It has come to my attention that in the previous post, we (Avi and myself) have recieved a comment pertaining to the word Gypsy and all it entails.

Now, as I look back and try to search for the obviously offensive word in the previous posts, I can't help but wonder what made this person so angry as to lower themselves to poetically bitching us out.

Don't get me wrong, I have no quarrel with the Roma and their culture, but perhaps this person is merely offended of our way of perceiving ourselves. As it is, do we not have the right to call ourselves whatever we wish?

If there are indeed any restrictions upon the written word and how it is to be used, do so let me know. Otherwise, I, among many others, have that special right to use whatever term we wish to express ourselves. As for using the word Gypsy, I cannot say I ever have, but maybe in a past post, I might have at one point to describe some sort of outfit or fictional character. I can assure you, I do not mean for it to be derogatory in any way. I merely associate that word with the fantasy, of the imaginable and fascinating, not with the people that "Gypsy" usually is stamped upon, whether by their permission or not.

There is also the possibility of this concerned individual to be offended by the background image of Erik and Christine in PTO. I understand that Christine's outfit is usually related to a stereotypical Gypsy girl, but from my understanding, she is merely dressed as such in an erotic version of a peasant girl who sells roses for the opera in which Erik writes. -shrugs-

If this background or anything in this journal offends any of you in any way, I am truly sorry. But I will not change my manner of expressing myself, so do not lecture me on the proper ways it should be done. Frankly, I care nothing of your offense.



On a different subject, I am glad to admit that the Hawaii trip is not to be happening by my knowledge. I have set my sights instead on going to my home state, California, for a much-needed vacation with my mother. It is to commence in about two week's time, if all goes well. Six Flags, here I come!

La la la new background and color scheme... Got tired of the old one, and being the ever-artistic person that I am, I whipped up a new image. Anywho, this is of course to celebrate the newly released movie of Phantom of The Opera. Very good movie, saw it three times already in theaters. Muwahahaha. By the way... OMG DUN STEEL MY STUFF!!!!

Not much to update on, other than I might be leaving for Hawaii within the next few months, but even that isn't a certain thing. -shrugs-

and off I go. I just might watch some Moulin Rouge to help pass the time since it's the only musical movie I have on dvd. -grumbles about incredibly difficult HTML coding as she leaves-

Anywho, I guess life is going alright for now... I HAD a job back in November but for reasons which I shall not disclose in this thing, they let me go. Heh. Nothing bad, mind you. I'm not among those stupid enough to fuck up their lives with drugs. Heh.

And now I'm on the ever-present job hunt once again. It's a never-ending cycle, I tell you. Anywho, happy new year everyone! Hope your year starts out well enough, anyway. Ha ha.

Anyhewsies...shall I report things? Man...Senior year in Highschool...busy busy BUSY! I had an econ project...really stupid too. It was a budged, a very unrealistic budget project and was evil. The only plus was I got to do it with Tzuki...so tzuki wrote up the report half, and I did all the spreadsheets, charts, graphs etc.

Other than that...my ankled is evil. I have to wear a brace during PE...plus to this??

I DONT HAVE TO RUN AT ALL!!!! -does happy dance!- Yay!!!!!

Wowzies....a WHITE background. SHOCKING!!! Right...umm...down to buisiness. (not that I really have any.)Oh Wait! I doooooo. I work at Happy Hollow Park and Zoo! I volunteer there, I am a zooteen. It is fun...except for being stuck in that stupid biofacts building for 3 hours in the afternoon, with nothing but a little fan hanging off one of the shelves and surrounded by taxidermied animals (stuffed, ones that WERE alive...) Actually, its only the heat i mind...

Oh..and Zooaiding...ergh. Clean Guienea Pig ISland...put out guienea pigs (i'm probably spelling it wrong...oh well) Clean and rebed the piggy nighthouse. Then we have to go around the zoo and do all the outer windows...fun. Clean Pot Bellied Pig exhibet(meaning rake up all the poop etc etc....water the trees, check the water dish, yes it means we go IN with the animals) Then we have to go into the Muntjac exhibit, he's named Jack....original ne? lol. He's very cute and VERY friendly! He's soooo cute!! He loves being scratched under the chin. He's like a little deer....at least i think so..or antelope...thing. yeah. I'll check up on that. After feeding and spot checking with him...we have to rake this huge goat yard in the service area...its murder, and you're in direct sunlight and gods theres ALOT of goat shit to rake up...and therees only two people to do all of this. After that, we groom any of the three miniature horses that need it...Sweet William is the stallion...YOUNG stallion, and man is he ever a BRAT!

Other than that...I also have to do Camp counsling...but i start that this week so I'll let ya'all know how that goes.

Hey peoples...I've gotten the shock of a lifetime. Lets put it in perspective shall we? Heres what happened, starting with tuesday afternoon...

Big fight with parents, mother actually. But we got over it, but since I've been so exhuasted etc etc for now real reason (cept for thursday night but niffs knows why...lol) We went to the hospital, to get a full on physical type ish thing..yeah. lol. As it turned out...my blood sugur level, WAY WAY WAY higher than it should have been. Becuase of this, the only reason i was allowed to go home was becuase we promised to see my Pediatricion for a follow up the next day, as it turns out...its Diabetes. So the entired afternoon was spent at the Stanford Diabetes Clinic...I have Type 2 Diabetes, so i dont need the insulin shots, (THANK THE GODS!!!) but i am on medication to lower it, and i have a guide for my sugur intake, so i have to watch it...but what sucks most...i have to check my blood sugur twice a day. I have the Ultra Smart One Touch meter, where i have to prick myself and then use thelittle strip, its simple, its easy, or so you'd think. But when you have to use this little thing with a 'lancette' to prick yourself and it acts like a peircing gun or something, its scary. Took me 20 minutes this morning to prick myself...It was a shock to my system, a big shock, I'm stil recovering from it...so yeah...
